However, the mother went to bring some frozen meat from the deep freezer outside the kitchen. While she was returning, “uhhhh”, screamed Julia feeling pain in her fingers. “Julia, what did I tell you”, mum said with a noticeable disappointment., “Next time I am sure you will believe me”. “sorry mum, uhhhhh you are right”.

The /u/ letter is one of the vowels that can cause many different sounds. The one we are interested in here is the one in /cut/. But there are various sounds that can be produced by /u/ like the ones in June or tube. We make the sound ‘uh’ by opening the mouth as if we want to see the bottom of the mouth in a mirror. Watch the video and see how the instructor making the sound. It needs more patience to teach vowels.
