sound r video: How to pronounce the /r/ sound?

It may seem like an easy letter sound to make. Actually, this is one of the toughest sounds you have to teach to a child in phase two. The r sound is falsely thought of by foreigners, people who speak English as a foreign language, as a sound made by touching the upper area behind your tongue like when you pronounce t and d. In fact, this is not right as the r sound has a special treatment. You need to pull your tongue back a little inside your mouth. The sides of the tongue are touching the top teeth on both sides and the tip of the tongue is not touching anything. now you try to pronounce the r sound while you are trying to round the shape of your mouth.
