Sound m video: How to pronounce the /m/ sound?
m is a nasal-voiced sound which means the vocal cords get vibrated when we pronounce it. we make the /m/ sound by pressing the lips together stopping the air from coming out of the mouth and air is allowed to pass through the nose instead. Because /m/ and /n/ are both nasal sounds, you may need extra time to make the kids understand the differences and distinguish between them. The words like man and name are examples of the m and n sounds together. Make a prize for those who can differentiate the two.
